“Donetsk” is a city situated in eastern Ukraine. More specifically, “Donetsk” is the blended result of my impressions about an era, a country, a city, a people that I experienced through my significant other.

This book embodies some of my deepest fears, complexes, desires and stimulations. These are carried to a next level as I projected them into this physical fetishistic object and I now declare my independence from them.
And I sated.

Gratitude is what her name meant. Gratitude is what I felt for her and I wanted her to know that.
I have not much to say.
I did not take the last photograph.
If I did, I would have been a different person now; or maybe I would have taken it if I were a different person.
That nonexistent photograph belongs to one of my “decisive moments”.
The last photograph is absent, the same way she is. Maybe that’s the whole story.
