More specifically, “Donetsk” is the blended result of my impressions about an era, a country, a city, a people that I experienced through my significant other.

"baktım sana dönüp baktığımda baktın mı bana / I was looking to see if you were looking at me to see me looking back at you" Book Photos
[...]
This book embodies some of my deepest fears, complexes, desires and stimulations. These are carried to a next level as I projected them into this physical fetishistic object and I now declare my independence from them.
And I sated.

That feeling comes with the moment’s light.
And the moment is unique. So the light is. And its uniqueness makes it extraordinary.
But existence is also a succession of moments, which brings about a feeling of ordinariness.
So is the moment the stillness of existence and light.
Absence and nothingness arise from this stillness of the moment’s light.
Light is the truth of existence and the truth is silent.
This is about the duality of existence and light.
This is how I feel, how I think of things. This is nothing.

There was a time when home felt so lonely it could not take it. Tracks looped at home. Home was empty. Tracks were looping. Home was quiet and it wept.”

Gratitude is what her name meant. Gratitude is what I felt for her and I wanted her to know that.
I have not much to say.
I did not take the last photograph.
If I did, I would have been a different person now; or maybe I would have taken it if I were a different person.
That nonexistent photograph belongs to one of my “decisive moments”.
The last photograph is absent, the same way she is. Maybe that’s the whole story.
